Driving a culture of exporting
Export Washington was developed to support the state’s Washington Export Initiative, which aims to boost the number of Washington companies that export by 30 percent over the next five years – and create a statewide culture of exporting. With one of every three jobs tied to exporting, Washington State is the most trade dependent state in the country. A tradition of innovation and a highly skilled workforce helped lift the state to a record $90.6 billion in exports in 2014, up from $81.6 billion from the year before. By striving toward even greater export volume, we help spur economic growth, create jobs, strengthen communities, and improve our quality of life.
